Hopewell Academy was
formed in 2004 by a small group of local individuals committed to
enhancing educational opportunities in the Triangle region for all
students. Hopewell opened its doors for students during the 2005 Summer
Session, and in August 2005, admitted its first full-time students.
That year, Hopewell expanded rapidly. Hopewell Academy now educates
students Grades 4 through 12.
Hopewell Academy is accredited
internationally by AdvancEd and regionally by the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Hopewell is licensed by the State of
North Carolina as a Non Public School and has all appropriate local,
state, and federal licenses and inspections.
Hopewell Academy is
a 501(c)(3) not for profit North Carolina corporation and has received
its Final Letter of Determination from the IRS identifying Hopewell as
a public charity. Hopewell Academy is not under the control of any
school, church, organization, business, or group and operates
independently.
